Product Description
Griffin’s AeroSport Armband is the ideal–quite possibly even the perfect–combination of features and wear-all-day comfort that is demanded by runners, walkers, and athletes of every stripe. The AeroSport starts with a light, silky, flexible armband of super-wicking stretch fabric, cut wide so it stays put comfortably. Adjust it to fit your arm, slip your iPod into the included detachable case, and clip it to the band. The case provides full screen protection and can be used apart from the armband. Griffin has even included an ingenious cord wrap that takes up the slack in your headphone cable, keeping it tangle-free. High-visibility reflective accents keep you visible for safety at dusk or dawn.

I was very disappointed in this product. I wanted something that I could carry separately to protect my ipod when I wasn’t using it to workout. Although the armband is made very well, the sleeve is a little too thick to use the ipod controls.

Does exactly what it should do… my arms are not small by any means and the band fits my arms just fine. While working out, it can get a little snug, but plenty of room to adjust when needed. I was a little unsure of the clip used to hold the device, but it works fine. I haven’t tried using just the clip without the arm band, so I can’t say how that works, but I’d suspect it would work fine.
It’s difficult to get to the plug in for the data/charger…good and bad to that… the unit is very secure, just makes it hard to get to it at the same time. I’d rather have it secure personally.

This is the second iPod armband I’ve owned. I had to buy this one because I retired my generation 2 iPod and bought a gen 4 model. The new video window on the gen 4 model didn’t match up with the window on the old arm band.
The postive side of this armband is that it is easy to put on and take off. It stays put when exercising, and the iPod easily slips into it.
The negative side is that the band is awfully wide, which sometimes makes it a little difficult if you have it near your elbow. My iPod fits nicely into it, but the very top of the iPod window is hard to see, so sometimes I think the top item on a menu is the top when in reality, it’s the second item. One more thing: the wide band is made of some sort of foam-type material which really soaks up sweat, so the band is pretty wet after a workout. Most of these complaints are very minor, though. I would recommend the Griffin AeroSport arm band.
UPDATE 7 MONTHS LATER: After using this armband for seven months, it has started to come apart, so I can’t be as enthusiastic as I was. In fact, I’ve thrown it away and purchases another brand. I workout four to five times a week (running) and I sweat a lot, so I put the band through its paces. Maybe these things just can’t endure that kind of wear.

This is my first armband and I must say, it was a great purchase. You are actually buying 2 things in one. It can work as an armband AND can also work as a clip on. There’s an attachment for the earphone wires so it doesnt get in the way. I work out 6x a week and after using this for the first time, I’m loving it. Its light weight, doesnt get in the way. I only have one comment about it and I second J.Thurman’s review about the thickness of the plastic. When trying to scroll through the menu, the thick plastic prevents you from doing it with ease. I sometimes find myself go into a different screen. They should either make the plastic thinner or have an opening for the wheel. But overall great product.

The AeroSport is a nice looking armband with a quality strap. The earphone wrap is definitely a nice feature. If you have particularly large arms it likely won’t fit you. The iPod case itself is the main problem. The plastic covering the clickwheel makes the controls numb and unresponsive. Moving up and down one spot on menus is particularly irritating, as it tends to either not move, or jump 2-3 lines at a time. You would assume that this meant the plastic was more protective, but mine already has a small split near the clickwheel from being in my gymbag. The connection between the case and armband has issues as well, as the case doesn’t seem to be cut right to fit the clip that slides into it. Overall the armband is average but not highly recommended.
